i got bored

the awesomest handshake

Day with Vances Tong and Franessa Day

im poooooped guys, pooped. Lifting heaps of boxes that weigh 18kg each and carring them over great distances and stacking them up is noooo picnic. OH YEAH. thats right. this prissy sissy may not be as prissy and sissy as you think. i really should stop using words more than once in the same sentence. k. when i say "heaps of boxes" i mean 7. and when i say "great distances" i mean ten metres away. but still... they were heavy. ive got schwarzenegger arms. bui knows what im talkin bout.

u know, as a reggie chick at crazy clarks u experience things that dont happen to u very regularly outside work. where else do a guy and girl approach you... stop infront of you... and make out.

*couple making out at register*
Me: *hands credit reciept* Could I get you to sign here please? *still going* Umm. Guys? Guys? Sign here please? Guys? bahhh k whenever you guys are good and ready.
Chick: Oh sorry. Everyone can see hey.
Me: Hey you just read my mind :D thats kool.

k it didnt happen quite like that. anyway my passionate argument that im gettin at is that reggie chicks arent actually invisible and our registers arent a pitstops. i mean, our register is our office. nobody wants to be turned off in their own office.... this is the worst argument ive ever made.

more stuff on crazy's. crazy clarks sells the most promising products ever. My favourite is the packaging of this huge easter egg we sell. it is called... the AWESOME EGG. oh yeah.. its awesome. the box has a picture of kool lookin cartoon bunny wearing sunglasses and its pointing to a car. Its speech bubble says "THIS EGG IS MORE AWESOME THAN MY CAR!!"
whhhhhhhat. where did these people learn how to advertise? Griffith? Just kidding Ness :P
But yeah awesomest egg ever.

There's also this liquid hi-lighter that says - Will "never dry" even with cap off.
What do the inverted commas even mean??? so when they say "never dry" what they really mean is "will dry very quickly indeed".

have i ever told u guys bout this voice over thing that happens at work every hour or so? hmm why am i asking questions on a blog?
darn it.
sigh anyways every crazy clarks store has to play this excruciatingly annoying elevator music along with this dudes voice that promotes the store to our existing customers. his lines are the cheesiest thing you'll ever hear.

Cheesy dude: Here at crazy clarks, we work together as a team and that team spirit shines through in making a difference in people lives, by making great products affordable!
Me: Yes cheesy dude. We ARE saving lives by selling cheap products. The logic... is simple.

see, what cheesy dude is tryin to say is... "You customers are poor people, and we are so glad to be helping you who are needy. Please buy our stuff"

mmmm im gunna go... i feel sick from eating too many easter eggs and jelly beans today.

helleeeew

i finished my anatomy exam today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont confuse that excitement with me thinkin i did well. i just hope i passed lol. i think i guessed most of it.

OT chick: I hope you guys picked up on that trick question.
Me: What trick question???
OT chick: What muscles in the arm are innervated by the ulnar muscle.
Me: OH that.... i put 'none'.
OT chick: Yeah your right. And the reason for that is (hmmm i think i tuned out after that...)
Me: *blank look full of blankness* oooooh... yeah i put 'none' cuz i couldnt think of any muscles.
OT chick: Good effort.

anyways... now presenting more of the random blog bout random thoughts.

Random thought no. 1 - k this crazy thing happened a few weeks ago. i was walking from the bus station on the way home and i saw a bunch of asian dudes........ no no u don't understand the significance of this event and no no im not talkin bout *twirling hair and goin up to these asian dudes to ask for the time* im talking bout asians. in. springwood. there are noooo asians in springwood. k im exaggerating... theres supposed to be ONE asian in springwood. and these guys looked like asian-gangster-wannabes wannabe gangstering (its fun to repeat words in the same sentence). when the asian gangsters reach a suburb u KNOW asians are on the verge of conquering that land.

Random thought no. 2 - i discovered today something bout myself that i never really take notice of. I always like to shop after something stressful like an exam. but i dont mean spending $100 on socks. i find the best bargains after exams. i was swimming in $5 tops *pictures self dancing and twirling in slow motion with $5 signs everywhere*. chyeah. i am ze bargain queen.

Random thought no. 3 - The Lolly shop at UQ should be called the "Candy Store".

Random thought no. 4 - I have to get a first aid certificate. Right now im depending on this little wallet-sized instruction manual on CPR. As you guys may know... im a slow reader... so if you happened to have a heart attack at this age... you better hope and pray that im not the only person around. BUT im sure i'll be good at saving people after this course.

mmmmmm im gunna rest my thoughts now. Have a happy easter everyone. Hope we remember what its really bout :)

Uni vs. Highskool

kk i gotta admit uni life is a degree better than highskool. i survived the second week and there are a few differences between uni and highskool that I've picked up on.

No. 1 - People are extremely polite. No guys telling u to "shake that ass" and no cat fights where girls nearly die from getting punched in the temporal (so far).

No. 2 - Walking to the next class is like a loooooooong venture across the surface of the sun. I mean even though I had to walk to seperate buildings for each class in high... at least we had a few covered pathways. Each step at uni brings me closer to skin cancer. They wanted to have a little more fun by making all the buildings and pavements white so that we can be blind too.

No. 3 - Tutors tell you to wear skimpier clothing. Ok I lie. ONE tutor told us to wear skimpier clothes. Not saying that highskool girls wore nun costumes every free-dress day (the 'day of opportuny') but you see, in anatomy we must learn more about the body and we must be able to see the body and be able to touch the body. Apparently t-shirts are not appropiate as it is difficult to touch body parts through clothing. Singlets and shorts are preferred (not too sure by who). And yeah... there is a lucky handful of guys in OT.

No. 4 - Alot more asians. I used to feel special.

No. 5 - Academic people dominate. Remember highskool toilets? I dunno bout everyone else but springwood toilets were dark, dirty and 4 out of 5 toilets were in no condition to be used. The toilet doors were covered with graffiti, rude comments, random swearing and confessions of a teenage 'emo'. And if not that then a fresh coat of paint (usually a colour which resembles vomit). But at UQ... omg. This is what I found on the toilet door of the Psychology building.

It's like a violent brawl in Nerd Land.

Nerd 1 : Students - be a conscious contributer to socialism, liberalism - ANARCHY. Think for yourselves!

Nerd 2: Why would you want anarchy? Without the government, you hippies wouldn't get your centrelink payments.

Nerd 3: You're so foolish. (lol foolish... that must be the closest thing to a swear word) Socialism and Liberalism aren't about thinkin for yourself. Do us all a favour and read up on your political science.

(I dunno how they managed to bring an insult back to study)

Nerd 4: You obviously don't know ANYTHING about the history of social welfare in Australia... one of the best welfare systems in the world.

Yes..... The toilet doors at UQ are the hot spots of political debates.

Tea etc... the EMP youth hang out

here's a few things that happened bout 30 mins ago...

Vonnie: Oh look... they have chairs over there.
Me: *stares at chairs* I want the tall one...
Everyone: *turns around* Which guy are u talkin bout? Are you talkin bout Simon?

a while after that...

Ness: *stares at the light in the shape of a light bulb on the wall* You know... that thing looks like a miniature version of what guys pee in....
Everyone: oh. my. gosh...
Ness: urinal urinal URINAL UARNIAL AURIALL

*silence*

Ness: *looks at lightbulb* I want the white one...
Everyone: You mean Colin?

minute later...

Ness: I want the chocolate one...
Everyone: That's bui
Ness: oh.

Sandra: I want the asian one...
Everyone: bahh... GREEDY!!
Heidi: "I love boys *mwah*"

Another one...

Ness: *Points to tiny speck on the table* What's that??
Emily: Your brain.

OH! this one.

Rev Ling: So Tim... it's your birthday?
Timmeh: Yeah.
Rev Ling: mmm I have to push you into a pool with these two beautiful ladies *points to me and audrey*
Timmeh: ........... but why??
Rev Ling: Because it's your birthday!
Timmeh: .............. I don't... understand...
Frances: But we don't have a pool.
Rev Ling: Well we must find one!!

Soooooo random.

uni noob

k so as u all may know (or should know since i told every breathing being) i am now a uni student. before u guys start picturing me being lost in the middle of a pond or sumfin... i should tell u that i didn't get as lost as i imagined. all thanx to my trusty "asian-tourist" map. two guys actually came up to me and asked if i knew where the law library was. so TAKE THAT! they've actually mistaken me for someone who knows things. hence i didnt look too nooby either

but if u were the lecturer then ud see a very different look on my face. the "shifty-lookin-at-other-ppls-notes" look.

ok it didnt exactly go like that... but when i saw the girl next to me scribble away.. i did think i was clueless.. only to find out she was half way through colouring her square.

breaking the ice with uni ppl is so easy. just make them laugh... theyre a crowd thats easy to please. in my first tutorial the teacher dude made us introduce ourselves to the rest of the class by saying our name (including last name so he could mark us off) where we're from and if weve been to uni before. since i was last i thought id just make fun of myself being a noob, a bogan and having the last name dong.

after the tut this girl actually came up to me to compliment my jokes.

random chick: i really liked the way u said "ding dong" *smiles as if we should talk bout this for another ten minutes*
me: lol yeah...
*awkward silence*
me: *thinks* would u like an autograph?

friendly ppl at uq :) shall be looking forward to meeting more complimenting-square-drawing-library-searching ppl.
